You will be conducting sightseeing tours while driving 20-54 passenger coach buses. You will be providing engaging live English commentary while showing the beautiful sights of our backyard, including Downtown Vancouver, the North Shore, Squamish, Whistler, and Victoria. This position is perfect for strong and passionate storytellers who enjoy working independently.&nbsp;</div><div><br></div><p><b><font color="#ab0a2f">YOUR WORK WILL INCLUDE</font></b></p><ul><li>Driving a 20-54 passenger coach bus safely in and out of town on tours to Vancouver, North Shore, Victoria, Squamish and Whistler</li><li>Conducting clear, live, and engaging commentary in English while driving safely&nbsp;</li><li>Picking up and dropping off guests from their hotel and ensuring guests are on passenger manifest&nbsp;</li><li>Ensuring proper guest count at beginning, during, and end of tour</li><li>Filling out attraction vouches with correct guest count</li><li>Driving safely and efficiently to keep on schedule</li><li>Providing exceptional service for our guests&nbsp;</li><li>Performing daily pre- and post-trip inspections for bus safety, compliance, and cleanliness</li><li>Reporting any defects on Vehicle Defect Card</li><li>Communicating effectively and professionally over radio/phone&nbsp;</li><li>Coordinating with Dispatch Tour Operations to ensure smooth operations, guest safety and satisfaction</li><li>Adapting quickly and efficiently to changing traffic patterns, street closures or detours</li><li>Being flexible with any last-minute changes and requests</li><li>Lifting luggage up to 50 lbs</li><li>Being warm, friendly, and welcoming to all guests and team members&nbsp;</li><li>Handling guest queries and concerns professionally</li><li>Promoting partner attractions and online reviews</li></ul><p><b><font color="#ab0a2f">WHAT WE WILL LIKE ABOUT YOU</font></b></p><ul><li>You have excellent communication skills and are comfortable in speaking while driving</li><li>You possess a valid BC commercial drivers license: Class 1 OR Class 2 License with air brake endorsement, with a clean driver abstract</li><li>You love driving and have at least 3 years of driving experience in Vancouver</li><li>You are confident driving a bus in downtown Vancouver and are familiar with the streets</li><li>You have a friendly and outgoing personality</li><li>Prior tour guiding experience is an asset</li><li>You possess a professional attitude and appearance</li><li>You have the flexibility to accommodate a changing schedule, available to work any day of the week, and an average shift length of 8-16 hours per day</li><li>You are available to work a full-time schedule over the peak summer touring months</li><li>You have working knowledge of standard radio 10-codes</li><li>You have previous experience working in a guest service role&nbsp;</li><li>You work well under pressure</li><li>You can lift luggage up to 50 lbs</li><li>You are organized and a quick leaner</li><li>You can work well both independently with minimum direction, and as part of a team&nbsp;</li><li>You are fluent in English, written and oral.
